Down the avid aeons Buddha’s sagesse,
casts its wondrous veil on the observer,
shades, shadows, shrewd  advise,
encompass things worldly and willing,
incongruous to some but others not,
astute statue of nuance,
crosses annual acmes at a glance,
Christmas is that so opportune time,
amid the gaiety and joyful glare,
can wry dispensation be somehow drowned,
sculpted mould epitomising solemn pearls,
advise a spartan sparkle an uneven match,
for the blissful bubble quite often heartfelt,
though opinions vary on the thorny theme,
costly gift as tender token toward,
the many who have journeyed with us,
despite the blitz of advertiser and industry,
the warm rush of December season benefice,
can still rise in a most towering fashion,
and the Buddha too can quietly form,
its peerless ongoing giftedness,
in the most cherished but also unexpected places,
those extremely comic dry hints,
at what might be seen as simple life,
where bear necessity is extolled,
those witty jibes at the inconsequential,
the importance of seeing recent  things,
as that valid in every likely sense,
might be seen as awkward juxtaposition,
to the much pilloried fanfare of modern life,
changes are afoot and what is seen as blind consumerism,
has in many ways been influenced by said Buddha,
if one digs awfully deep into the furore,
where growing genuine concerns of future life,
are abundant amid a spiralling pessimism,
the seeds have been planted and not just metaphorically,
in terms of a vibrant growing social awareness,
with a synchronous embryonic Buddha ethos at the core,
one is reminded of this in online searches,
when mosaic after mosaic  makes its tangible presence
