FOUNDATION
It starts with a compelling foundation
Built among hopes and good intentions
But within the building process
wood becomes wilted
Screws get knocked loose
Cement develops cracks from the ground up
And sure a few scars and scratches to a foundation may not be harmful to a days work
But when a storm comes
which is inevitable upon nature
The scratches become wounds
And the scars become unforgettable
We no longer have selfless thoughts
Just selfish actions to rebuild our own foundations
Weakening a beautiful masterpiece that could have been
