My heart is crooked and conniving,
Good, at times
Self-centered mostly,
Harboring grudges
Unable to bear fools
Not forgetting slights and snubs,
never forgiving spurns

My heart works in tandem
with my mind which is
equally devious.

Heart is deeper than the ocean
Vaster than the realms of the heavens
more mysterious than death
more diabolical than the devil.
It is dangerous to delve into
the domain of the heart.

Do not pry into the inner
sanctum sanctorum of my heart,
it’s fraught with booby traps and landmines;
You’ll only come back out
with frayed soul, disheveled spirit.
