I see a heart
Bleeding
Poison and prattle
She approaches.
“Mirror, Mirror, on the wall,
“Who’s the fairest of them all?”
I might reply, “Of what consequence is it to you?”
To anyone?
But deceit reigns supreme in this kingdom
My opinion doesn’t matter
Instead, I must reflect
Upon what she sees
Do I not have my own thoughts? My own insecurities?
My own observations?
I too crave
Reflection
Please listen to me
I see deeper a
Heart full of vanity
Void of purpose
Impenetrable
To Reflection
And it’s not just her
I am of the honest sort
And forbid you to deceive
Me; I cannot be fooled
You want me to parrot
The superficial
While I desire to spread my
Influence
My Humanity
And create something
Anew
Please listen to me
I see it.
I see it all
Do you?
Together, let’s reflect.
