The Man Outside

“As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.”

The man outside is a seeker and fighter,
Each day may be weightier,
He searches for a door out of the night,
To find a way that leads into perpetual light.

Hope sees light emerging from the night’s work,
It buoys the man outside like an ark,
Through the turbulent days,
Even though he doesn’t understand its hidden ways.

The mind is the warrior’s field,
It holds the shield against the darkness bid,
The man outside wears the shoes,
He has the onus to choose the blues.

The man outside looks out of the window,
Hope holds the light to the blooming meadow,
He bears the pain to walk in the rain,
In search of the redemption lane.
