my darling, I hope you’re okay
please, dear, never let your mind stray
it is going to be alright
remember, don’t give up your fight
it’s raining everywhere, I know
but, whatever you do, don’t let go
don’t follow suit, it doesn’t suit
your hope, your happiness, your route
even if your happiness seems faint
please never allow pain to taint
the beautiful person you’ll always be
the one you, yourself, can’t seem to see
it pains me to watch you write
such hopeless rhymes so outright
I can’t say this enough, my dear
your pain’s end will soon come near
not all at once, but bit by bit
so please, my friend, don’t permit
your thoughts to overcome your mind
I know you have the will to find
the reason that you came this far,
and the beauty in the person you are
because, my dear, you are beauty itself
if only you would see it and love yourself.
