I can see you through a mysterious veil, beautiful boy,
Running around in the loins of the Divine,
Waiting to be selected for an earth bound journey,
Fair-skinned, chubby, fully anointed vessel from beyond earth.
I asked you of the Creator
That He would fashion for me,
One more child to expand my nuclear home,
A delight to his parents and older siblings,
One to be dotted upon by all.
But a shaky homestead, a failure in necessary foundations
Has aborted your earth-bound journey,
The womb that waited to carry you has been placed
On a burning stove, conditions are non-conducive
To bear you to term.
I hunger for you, to hold you in my arms, kiss you and name you,
Jewel of Heaven, Servant of the Most High,
But I am sorry, my son
I have no choice but to relinquish you to another,
Let another loving female mother you,
While I wait for you to grow up and come to me,
This decision hurts as though my heart is seared with a branding iron,
I must work hard to dim the images I created in my mind
Of you, your conception, birth and growth,
Of our family including, holding you,
I wait for you, my yet unborn son.
