Spring of Love
As spring awakens, pansies spread
With buds of tulips, pink and red.
Stroll amidst a sea of flowers,
Leave behind a sullen winter.
A whiff of lilac and purple Asters
Spreads across a sultry languor;
Watch the birds’ duet of love
Ready to build a nest above.
See the earth’s majestic fair,
Canaries warble love and care.
Yellow monarchs cavort around
To bring a concert of color and sound.
Nature outlays time and nurture
To reap its grace and splendor;
If only people invested time and care
To love alike to blossom and share.
