Member Poem

Polls can be mistaken,
they can be so mercilessly rigged,
as all our lives it seems!
This exercise in latest trend predicting, 
secret shroud oblique to prying eyes.
Last minute rush to vote stoke doubter.
Light of day tallies idly shuffled,
by every hue by accident,
or otherwise across the spectrum.
Boisterous figures shading it,
on iris bloom punchline.
Barren buck pass rhetoric,
on polka dot exhibit round the globe,
X's on the cards,  unticked boxes flourish,
spoiled counts, spoiled hands,
spoiled photo ops, count the cost,
or hazard guess at outcome,
decision rued, decision now a mockery
Folly past the post as upshot,
even with the best will in mind
