As summer duly ends
thoughts of fun-filled leisure
still linger in my heart
laughter, joy, fellowship
one longs for at the start
As summer duly ends
the playful child within
dwells on sunshine capers
deep greenĀ tides, sandcastles
awestruck blue sky gapers
As summer duly ends
its pearl clad fair journey
encased inside a log
of gleaming shore elan
to dissipate the fog
As summer duly ends
autumn, winter, christmas
will shortly grace our door
with bright leafs, gusts, snowfall
to relish even more
