Member Poem

Children always roam,
it could happen,
in an instance,
or maybe later on,
parents be alert,
but never worry,
there is still that,
fleeting childhood,
phase so wondrous,
your playful offspring,
the things they say,
fun, games, toys,
the charming things,
infants always do,
loud laughter rising,
pranks, smiling faces,
pictures of jollity,
snapshots in a frame,
but they’ll grow up,
one day leave home,
but maybe they’ll,
return to the nest,
if only for a while,
I'd accept that,
it would mean,
so much at that,
I weep now,  
when dreaming,
of a visit or two,
thinking long term,
short term whatever,
hope sustains me,
all of us parents,
hope and memories,
