O store Gud vi love Dig

O store Gud! vi love Dig
Af Hjertens Grund evindelig!

I Naade seer Du til os ned,
Og evig er Din Miskundhed!

Lov-Sangen fra den frelste Jord
Sig blande med dit Engle-Chor!

Ja, Adams Æt istemmer glad
Cherubers og Serafers Kvad:
Hellig, Kiærlig, Stærk og Viis!
Evig Ære, Lov og Priis,
Alle vide Vegne fra,
Være Dig! Halleluja!

Du skabde Himlen underskiøn,
Og i dit Billed Støvets Søn!

Du styrted Aanden stolt i Hu,
Det faldne Støv opreiste Du!

O Radiance Of Life's Morning

O Radiance of life's morning! O gold without alloy!
O love that lives through all the years! O full, O perfect joy!
The hills of earth touch heaven, the heaven of blue and gold,
And angel voices swell the song of love and peace untold!

O radiance of life's morning!
The dew within the rose,
The fragrance fresh from Eden
That freights each breeze that blows!

Dear Christ, the wine of Cana pour out in rich supply,
These hearts keep young with gladness while all the years go by!

O radiance of life's morning!
O gold without alloy!

O Nightingale Thou Surely Art

O Nightingale! thou surely art
A creature of a "fiery heart":--
These notes of thine--they pierce and pierce;
Tumultuous harmony and fierce!
Thou sing'st as if the God of wine
Had helped thee to a Valentine;
A song in mockery and despite
Of shades, and dews, and silent night;
And steady bliss, and all the loves
Now sleeping in these peaceful groves.
I heard a Stock-dove sing or say
His homely tale, this very day;
His voice was buried among trees,
Yet to be come at by the breeze:
He did not cease; but cooed--and cooed;

O my lovely Death

Welcome, welcome, o my lovely Death,
I am not frightened, till my last breath. (1)
Dies a tree, dies a bee, do they care you?
You are not out of earth, new not are you. (2)

I do feel ache and pleasure before you come,
No pain, no gain, when I am at your home. (3)
Gandhi died, died Osama (?) , one day I shall.
Life is not a lotus bed; death is not a hell. (4)

Lovely wife of a life, long live o! Great,
Let happen every thing, but no death of death.(5)

O My Lord, Your Dwelling Places Are Lovely

O My Lord, Your dwelling places are lovely
Your Presence is manifest, not in mystery.
My dream brought me to the Temple of God
And I praised its delightful servants,
And the burnt offering, its meal and libation
Which rose up in great pillars of smoke.
I delighted in the song of the Levites,
In their secrets of the sacrificial service.
Then I woke, and still I was with you, O Lord,
And I gave thanks - for to You it is pleasant to give thanks

O Moon

O moon, large golden summer moon,
Hanging between the linden trees,
Which in the intermittent breeze
Beat with the rhythmic pulse of June!

O night-air, scented through and through
With honey-coloured flower of lime,
Sweet now as in that other time
When all my heart was sweet as you!

The sorcery of this breathing bloom
Works like enchantment in my brain,
Till, shuddering back to life again,
My dead self rises from its tomb.

And, lovely with the love of yore,
Its white ghost haunts the moon-white ways;

O' Lyric Love

O' Lyric Love, half angel and half bird,
And all a wonder and a wild desire,-
Boldest of hearts that ever braved the sun,
Took sanctuary within the holier blue,
And sang a kindred soul out to his face,-
Yet human at the red-ripe of the heart-
When the first summons from the darkling earth
Reached thee amid thy chambers, blanched their blue,
And bared them of the glory-to drop down,
To toil for man, to suffer or to die,-
This is the same voice: can thy soul know change?
Hail then, and hearken from the realms of help!

O Lovely Lie

I told a truth, a tragic truth
That tore the sullen sky;
A million shuddered at my sooth
And anarchist was I.
Red righteousness was in my word
To winnow evil chaff;
Yet while I swung crusading sword
I heard the devil laugh.

I framed a lie, a rainbow lie
To glorify a thought;
And none was so surprised as I
When fast as fire it caught.
Like honey people lapped my lie
And peddled it abroad,
Till in a lift of sunny sky
I saw the smile of God.
