Am I evil
Because I might want to kiss a girl?
Is it disgusting
To want to put my hand in hers?
Will your love shrivel into hate
When you find out?
Will you condemn my fate?

Or will you beg me to make a better choice
Like I chose your wrath?
Am I just confused, misguided
Because I don't have every little thing figured out?
Because I'm not who you want me to be?

Does it matter who I want to be?

What would you say if I told you I wouldn't change a thing
If this really were a choice?
If I told you I like this life of "sin"

Because what's more condemned?
Love, or judgement?
Love, or hate?

Pull your head out of the sand and look around
You preach love?
Try practicing it.

I know something's wrong with the world
When you say "gay movement" and "school shooting"
With the same venom in your voice

What did we do to you?
When did spreading love become sowing hate?
Would you still love me
If I was gay?
