Poems about Shadows and Darkness

These are poems about shadows, poems about darkness, poems about shades in the form of ghosts and spirits...

Shadows
by Michael R. Burch

Alone again as evening falls,
I join gaunt shadows and we crawl
up and down my room's dark walls.

We drown in shadows starker still,
shadows of the somber hills,
shadows of sad selves we spill,

Halloween Poems

These are Halloween poems: dark poems and scary poems about skeltons, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, witches, mummies, goblins and other things that go bump in the night.

Thin Kin
by Michael R. Burch

Skeleton!
Tell us what you lack ...
the ability to love,

grown as pale & unsound,
when we also haunt

I believe in ghosts

I used to not believe
in ghosts or spirits
or supernatural phenomenon

at least
i used to be
quite skeptical

but I have had
some weird encounters
over the years

so now perhaps
I do believe
that ghosts might be real

I have had supernatural
experiences
things that defy my understanding

back in 1992
My Korean Uncle-in-law died
and the family hired a shaman

did a traditional shaman ritual
the shaman came out
a middle age woman
