Thoughts on a Quiet Night
Thoughts on a Quiet Night
Li Bai (701-762)
Before my bed the bright moon shines its light,
Perhaps the frost now covers all the ground;
I lift my head to see the shining moon,
I bow my head to see my native town.

Final Thoughts
Lying on the floor
Wounded in a luxury hotel
His eyes pulse
To the beat of final thoughts
He sees the moon beyond the window
Winding around the gilded curtains
To the south lies home
Abandoned years ago
There was that night
When he headed out
And took a boat along a stream
To see the northern lights
This night though was his last
He met a woman
And met a thrill
He could not find at home
