Once Upon a Spring-
All I did was dreamĀ
of Marigolds fresh in bloom. Bright, vibrant petals scenting the wind. Sundrops and dewdrops gracing dawn in treetops.
-Suddenly-
The scene swaps. Petals bloom, then rot. Shriveled signs of Spring crunch underfoot. Then comes the hot breath of Summer. She whispers. I lean in to hear what she utters. She warns my heart to close the shutters before the Winter winds make my bones shudder.
